Is gratuity included in your pricing?

  • Gratuity is left to the clients’ discretion and is never included in our pricing unless specifically requested. Gratuity is always appreciated but never expected.

What is a "Service Charge"?

  • A service charge is a standard fee that is applied to every event. This fee covers many things, from all our general liability insurance, to the time it takes to plan and prep for your event, to maintaining our company vehicles and catering equipment, and so much more!

Where does Vestals cater?

  • Besides our list of venues (that can be found here), Vestals will go anywhere that has an open-vendor/outside-caterer policy. We cater inside private residences, office buildings, schools and churches, but we’ve also catered out of museums, on construction sites, on boats, even in the middle of an open field! The limit to our locations does not exist!

Do you include rentals in your quotes?

  • We typically include disposable or china dishware, glassware, utensils, and napkins in all of our proposals. If you have additional rental needs, such as tables and linen, bar tops, tenting, chairs, etc., we would be happy to coordinate that as well! We can upgrade your China/glassware/flatware, too!

Do you offer tastings?

  • We offer complimentary tastings (up to 4 people) for full-service events that are confirmed with a paid deposit and have met a $5,000 minimum. For full-service events not yet booked, we provide tastings at $50/person with a 6-person maximum. Once your event is booked with us, we apply that $50/person fee to your overall balance, essentially making it complimentary.

When can I schedule a tasting?

  • Tastings are available Tuesday-Thursday from 11am-4pm. We do not offer weekend tastings, as we have most of our weddings and other large-scale events on the weekends that demand 100% of our attention.

Do you require a deposit?

  • We require a 50% deposit for events scheduled within one month. For events further out, we require a 20% deposit upon booking, and 50% needs to be paid by the time your event is 30-days out.

I can't figure out how much alcohol to buy for my event. Can you help?

  • Our general rule of thumb is to account for 2 drinks/person for the first hour, and 1 drink/person every hour after that. We can refer you to liquor and wine outlets that can help you with specific quantity recommendations based on your exact event needs. Should you want to take the guesswork out completely, we do offer full bar packages as well as mixer packages.

Can I change my menu after I've booked my event?

  • Yes! You can make any menu changes you want until 30 days before your event. After that, we will try our best to accommodate reasonable menu changes.​

What is your average price per person for catering?

  • Our average price per person will depend on many factors, such as the specific menu you choose, service style, staff needs, hours on-site, rentals, and set up and break down, among others. Ask our sales team about pricing for your specific event! Events on Holidays are subject to premium staffing pricing, as well.

Can you accommodate food restrictions and/or allergies?

  • Absolutely! We offer plenty of options that are vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, and dairy free! We also work with food allergies, so just let us know what we’re working with and we will put together something perfect for you!

Why do I need staffing for 8 hours on my wedding day? Ceremony + reception is only 5 hours!

  • For weddings, our staff arrives early to the venue to set the tables and make sure everything is well-organized and ready to go for the big event! This usually takes at least 2 hours before your ceremony start time. After your reception is over, Vestals makes sure everything is torn down and cleaned up in accordance to your venue’s closing instructions. You won’t need to worry about anything except having the best night of your life!

What methods of payment do you accept?

  • We must have a card to keep on file, but we won’t charge that card without your knowledge. Additionally, you have the option of paying by cash or check always.

Can I customize my menu?

  • 100% YES! We want your menu to reflect your unique personality and vision for your event. Whether it’s combining food from two cultures to create one-of-a-kind dishes, or even incorporating a family recipe into the mix, we will do whatever it takes to get you the perfect menu!
